A medium sized bone needle measuring almost 8" long with elk sinew tied at one end. This can be used to sew tough deerskin or leather pieces that you would not be able to do with an ordinary needle.
Black Wolf has written on the piece the following:
"Indian bone awl used for punching holes in materials to be sewn. This bone awl, which is made from buffalo bone and is made entirely by hand using flint in its production. Authentic sinew cord is attached."
