Found in the Northwestern part of the United States. It has a light aromatic, sagebrush odor when crushed. It smells wonderful. Native Americans used Prairie Sage for both medical and ceremonial purposes. The Dakota Sioux for instance, used it to begin most of their ceremonies as they believed it drove away evil spirits.
