The leaves and berries of this small tree have been valued by many early civilizations in medicine, and in warding off negative spirits.
Juniper grows on the high plateaus of the western United States, and is used in the same manner as Cedar. Both plants are used in repelling moths. Some jewelry will have juniper berries on them to ward off evil.
