Pecos Diamond is like a diplomatic person. It brings out the best in the stones being worn at the same time. When used alone, it harmonizes the individual very quietly, very gently. It is a wonderful calmer for hysteria and anxiety, especially when induced by stress such as shock or trauma.

Pecos Diamond operates on negative expressions of emotion, allowing the user to perceive himself in that state with detached compassion, rather than judgment and guilt. It does not stop the expression of negativity, however it aids in allowing the individual to gain control over negative thought patterns, and then to change them through conscious choice rather than repeat them. Apache Tears

This semi-precious gemstone is a Merikanite Obsidian, nature's glass in rounded shapes from pea size to softball size. Found only near Superior, Arizona USA. Its smoky brown hue is semi-transparent when polished and held up to light. It is the ONLY obsidian nodule that can truly be called an Apache Tear. The legend of of the Apache Tear is a story about 75 Apaches and the US Calvary squared off against each other in battle on a mountain overlooking what is now Superior, Arizona in the 1870's. Rather than face defeat, the outnumbered Apache warriors rode their horses off the mountain to their deaths. The families of the warriors cried when they learned of the tragedy. When the women went to get the warriors, they saw these black stones in the dirt where their men were. It is said to this day that their tears turned into stone upon hitting the ground. Today these beautiful translucent gemstones are known as Apache Tears.

To the Ancient Ones, it's a frozen tear, lost in the sands of time. Giving one to a friend unlocks their tears and allows a forgiving attitude and release of grievances which have been held against another. It is best to have two apache tears and carry them in your pockets on both sides.

Howlite

Howlite is white with grey streaks. It can be used to eliminate pain, stress, and rage, hence it is quiet nice to have around. It can help to lessen rudeness and boisterousness, and can provide for a reflection of the offender to the offender. It discourages and impertinent behavior and encourages tact. Turquoise Nuggets

Turquoise is a sacred stone to many Native American Tribes. The Navajo used ground turquoise and coral in creating sand paintings to bring rain to parched land. The Pueblos laid turquoise under the floor in offering to the dieties, when a house, or kiva, was built. A piece of turquoise was nearly required tool in the Apache shaman's medicine, or power, bag. Other American peoples attached turquoise to bows to ensure accurate shots.

Clear Quartz Crystal

Youngite is a Bruneau Jasper. This beautiful drusy material comes from a location in Wyoming. The location is now closed so it will no longer be available when existing supplies are gone. This was purchased at the Tucsom Gem and Mineral Show in Arizona. The color combination includes the hues of brown, tan, and ivory. This stone has been used to enhance expressiveness and to assist one to adapt to situations which are new, smoothing emotional states and helping one to anticipate 'the best' in all situations.
